You don't usually see anything like that involving a mature deer and a coyote. A mountain lion can wipeout mature buck because they are usually alone, and not with a crowd if you know what I mean. Those are great but sad pics I can't help but think there was something wrong with that deer.

Kinda makes you wonder if the deer may have been in bad shape or maybe even shot to not put the hurt down on that yote or even haul a$$ outta there....

A mature coyote (coyote's) will take a deer down in a heart beat. They will run (trail) a deer until exhausted, then make their move. As Chance said sad but good pics. Not really a waste. To me a waste is someone that pays thousands of dollars to shoot a 160 class buck and stick it on his wall and tell the processeor he don't like venison, just trash it. .

It happens everyday in the world. Just part of nature. Be a nice set of horns out there for someones deer camp.

Deer aren't the only things that hang around a feeder. That buck was either sick or injured to allow coyotes that close. They are doing their job. Good pics.

Yeah, it's a cruel world. Something has to die so something else can live.

Re: What a waste....(picture heavy) (fats)

I have seen coyotes run deer into the lake twice while fishing. I guess they are just playing with them.
