    8610 or 8612, which one?

Between the 8610 & 8612 which one would some of you, that maybe have or have had both, prefer as a livescope only unit? I’m leaning towards the 8610 due to having the best resolution between the 2 and the screen size is only 1.5 in width and a .25 in height smaller.

was just in west marine looking. Or ally I’d say go big, but the screen sizes looked very close and the 10 was $1300 less.

Yea I think for the 1.5 inch less glass it is the smartest choice. I had a 1242 I was using and sold it to upgrade to a 8600 unit. If I was going to use it as a main unit for maps and scanning then I would go the 12 route.

Neither. Livescope only, I’d preorder the new 1243xsv. New model with everything needed for the not too distant future. The screen is a full inch taller than the 8610 at a similar price point. I’d take that extra inch of height over the better resolution with regards to LS any day. One might consider how very useful that extra inch of height may be at a later date. Circumference will be controlled by the height of ones screen......................
If I looked good in spandex and my boats paint had glitter, I’d fish for bass.
Luckily the Crappie, Stripers and Tuna don’t seem to care.............. BigBry
