    Adjusting Idle Speed of 200 Venom

    '95 Johnson 200 Venom Is Idling fast when on the hose and in the water. What is the proper technical way to go about adjusting the idle speed?

    Unhook throttle cable from motor. Make sure all butterflies are closed. Mark TDC on flywheel, start motor and get to temp. Connect timing light to #1 plug wire, shoot timing wheel. Adjust screw on timing arm that hooks to the timer base.
