    Lake Fork Tips? and Lodging

6 months ago my wife gave birth to our little Boy and we have not had a free weekend or wetted the first hook since his birth. Now The WIFE is planning a Trip to Lake Fork on the weekend of October 7-9th. (I'm not arguing with her about this trip)
We have never been to this lake and the only thing i know is a little about the Lodges listed below.
I've narrowed down our Lodging options to

    Lake Fork Marina
    Lake Fork Resort
    Burning Stump
    Hook Line-N-Sinker
    Lake Fork Lodge

Whats everyones Pro's and Con's of the above.
I would love to have a quide but our budget will not allow us 300-400 extra bucks one one.
What are some of it hot areas on this lake? I have no idea to where to start. I'm going to buy a Hotspot map of this lake and I'm hoping my Navionics chip has Fork on it... "Southern" chip is what i've got.

    Thanks for any help.

http://www.ets-systems.com/ This site will help you and the first two motels you posted would be my first choice.

Re: Lake Fork Tips? and Lodging (Skip)

There's a group of folks from here going to Fork two weeks later on the 20-23rd, if you want to make some new friends.

If you and wife haven't been alone in awhile why not stay in a Bed & Breakfast House and really enjoy it.

Charlie206-Would like to make some New friend, but we are pretty much set on our dates.
BassPastor-never stayed at a bed and breakfast
bigfishingstud-wish It was that easy to make him a little sister but we spent just a little over $20,000 in Fertility procedures last year. :-( that could have payed off my boat plus a little. But its all worth it now since my lil boy is here....

I can't make it either, I have to be in Portland (ugh) on that weekend. Hang around here and get to know these guys, they are largely full of chit and lots of fun, and we get together and fish a couple of times a year. We were going to fish Toledo Bend mid-Oct but as you know we ran out of H2O.
