Since my buddy WB wrote such a fine description of his day on the lake, I thought I'd one up him and give you a run down of my last 6 days. Back to work tomorrow night.
My billfold and my body are suffering. This 7 day off stretch has been a humdinger.

Started out with the road trip to ERCOT and I took in a Rangers Minor League ballgame in Round Rock. Ticket, parking, t-shirts, and 6 dollar beers. (bout $90)
Began moving and rearranging the sheds. Solid labor most all day ever day.
Visits to Lowes, Home Depot, Wal Mart, local lumber yard for storage shelves, pegboard and various hardware and lumber. (bout $275)
A day of re-plumbing in the cozy & HOT 8x8 well house due to a busted pipe. ($30)
Harbor Freight hydraulic motorcycle lift, $500 lift, had a coupon for $299and a better front wheel chock to mount on the Chinese pos.
($380)
Specs for a fresh jug of JD and Mudslide for the coffee. ($60)
Items for the scooter came in the mail. 12" muffler, exhaust bracket, fuel filter, JD points cover, factory service and parts manuals. (bout $250)
At some point the ole Shovelhead decided to start puking gas all over the floor out the overflow vent on the carb. I knew I had some rust in the tanks and suspected trash on the needle / seat or a float problem. After further review the rubber gasket on the fuel petcock shit the bed. OFF was not off.Decided to buy a high dollar petcock, don't want gas leak problems on anything between my legs. Removed the petcock and the screen in the tank was a crusted mess of rust particles
Figger I better take the carb apart and sure enough the bowl was full of crap too. Now I gotta pull the gas tanks off & figger out how to get the rust out the tanks before I put the new parts on.
I will mention that large quantities of 16oz Bush Light cans went to their grave during this stretch and the sheds are shaping up nicely.
