Re: Fueled up the D MAX today (Corkpuller)

Fuel millage has dropped about 2 miles per gal. this winter. I figure it is the winter "blend" fuel. I don't know for sure but Bec's cuz is a cert mechanic and said the BG 244 is as good as the fuel rail infection at the quick lube joints. He said you can expect around 1 to 1.5 per gal. improvement. He also said to run some type of injector maintenance (Lucas or Sea Foam) about every third tank. So I figure I will take all the help I can get......

Re: Fueled up the D MAX today (WB)

Mine has gotten better over the years and I ain't believing it, the DIC tells me I'm getting 25mpg last trip home from T Bend without the boat.
Reckon I ought to check it "manually'.

I don't have a dic talking to me but I was getting about 15 in town and the best I have ever got on the highway is 16 with boat and 20 without. Mind you that is pulling about 68 mph and 2000 rpm. If I get over 2000 miliage sucks big time...

Re: Fueled up the D MAX today (WB)

ok, I'll spill the beans. Couple yrs ago coming back from my step-bros in Arkansas I decided to check it manually because that DIC thang was starting to get really good It said 23mpg and that was through some pretty good hills but still most highway speeds. When I checked it myself I came up with 19
But hey, you look at the DIC and it makes you feel alot better
That is the ONLY time I've checked it. If I remember I'll check it Sunday when I go to the lake and post the results.

Re: Fueled up the D MAX today (WB)

All I know is I am getting about 280 miles a tank in town and that sucks. I am not going to add the BG until I get back form Ivie. Was told it is better to make short trips and let the injectors soak between trips. Worth a try. I will let you know if I blow a turbo or start getting 33 MPH.

I saty yes. Therefore more miles traveled per gallon of gas tha odometer indicates. Is this correct? I may bre stressing over nothing.

with a larger wheel you cover more ground per revolution, therefore I deduce that your careful contemplation on the matter is most likely incorrect.
However, more miles traveled is correct.

Let's smoke a joint and think about it a little harder.
