    Re: WB (Corkpuller)

I see Breckenridge is in there too. My new hometown.

Ennis, where I went to school, has at least 4 State titles in football that I know of.

By the way, WB is NOT the only one interested in HS football Cork.

    Re: WB (Stompy)

Good read for sure. La Marque has earned the privilege to be mentioned with the elite high school teams in Texas. I will have to point out that Breckenridge won all of theirs when only only one team from each district went to the playoffs, also there was only one State Champ in each classification. All but one of Abilene Highs came in that era also.
Celina is where my oldest son Chris played his high school football. The year after graduated they won 3 in a row. His stepdad begged him to fail him SR. year.
I was raised in Stamford Tx. and we won 3 in a row (had one stripped because of ineligible player living at the fire house) in the mid 50's under the great Gordon Wood who later on in his career lead Brownwood to several State Championships. I love me some HS
