Today is the last day of my 19 vacation. Pretty tired right now. I spent the day at Plainview with my GSP and hunting partner OBrian chasing pheasant. I did it all from pheasant in Kansas, buck and yotes in Oklahoma Panhandle to more yotes, cats, crane and pheasant in Texas. Here are just a few of the pics. Time to head back to work tomorrow and rest.

What a vacation! Great pics Bob, that is one fine lookin animal in the back of the pickup, and a dandy shotgun too. I would love to do some Pheasant or Quail huntin with some good dogs.

Where abouts outside of Plainview were you Pheasant hunting? Used to spend half my December hunting them before I moved to Abilene. My B-I-L was managing a 1/2 section of CRP just east & south of town & on the draw for an older gentleman out of Hereford the last few years we lived. We had gotten some Black & Golden Pheasants and released them with the Ring Necks to give our guests a little variety.
Hunted a lot of friends farms and we have a couple 1/2 sections in Hale Center that belong to my Mom and her sister. Back in my HS days, pheasant hunting around Plainview used to be a BIG deal. The airport was covered with planes of hunters that flew in and all the civic organizations had a breakfast on opening day. Not so much in the later years.
We were around Edmondson and Olton. You know any of the Brightbills?
Jerry is the only one. He was a customer of mine before we sold out or business in 94. He aslo rented a lake bed off of my Mom on one of the 1/2 sections at Hale Center.
He's my bud. His wife and my wife are best friends.
