    mega di and si transducer

can i run a mega di unit with a megs di / si transducer? i believe it will work but want to be sure before i buy a new transducer. I have two units one is a Mega DI the other is a Mega DI/SI i cut the DI transducer cable and need to get a new one so thought maybe I just get the SI/DI transducer and then can switch the units positions on the boat if I wanted to?

found it Wayne and read through the messages. i may not have been clear in my post. in the other artical they kept talking about two transducer joined with a Y cable, i was thinking of replacing my mega DI transducer with a mega SI transducer to allow me to flip flop my two units if i wanted. i currently have my SI G3 unit at the dash and transducer on the jack plate and my DI G2 unit on the bow and transducer on the trolling motor, my thought was installing a new SI/DI transducer on the trolling motor both transducers would be wired direct.

You missed the whole point, it’s about connecting a unit that does 83/200 kHz to a transducer with a HW piezo. It makes no difference if the HW is via Y cable or in the Transducer. Read it again until you understand the consequences.
