programer/tuner for outboads!?!?

I was looking at some ficht parts on eBay and they had a programmer for v4 and v6 for the ficht motor and they said it will boost your HP and give you better fuel economy. It's made by some European guys there asking like $99.99 plus s&h there saying it will not damage your motor but I've always been told that when you mess with a ficht motor trying to get more out of it they will come apart on you. What do you guys think? Is it bs or will it help or will it blow your motor? Sorry I can't post the eBay link. I'm having to use my cell and don't have computer access. If you wanna look it up try searching Evinrude ficht 225 or something like that

Think about it! You most likely would be buying parts off of a blown engine. What made it blow? I believe I would pass. JMO

It's not a omc part. It is a aftermarket part they made and it wires into your motor and then you have to dial it in..... it has a knob on it and they say you turn it clock wise. I don't know I just wanted to see what everyone thought about it

Those gimmicks pop up every few months.

Remember how your old carbureted car ran when the choke stuck? it does the same thing electronically by messing with the temperature sensor signal to fool the motor in thinking that it is still in warm up so it will run richer.

Yea that's pretty much what I figured it was just some kind of gimmick. But I just wanted to run in buy you guys. Thanks for the input!
