    I remember many times flying into Dallas at night and watching the cars moving, traffic lights, street lights, and the winding residential streets. This awareness of all of the people going about their evening activities busily winding down their day and here I was occupying just 1 seat on a large airplane. My goal was to get home to Mobile and see my family after being gone all week but acutely aware of how small and insignificate I am in the overall scheme of things.

    No matter how small of a piece of the puzzle I am, my Creator knows and cares about me.

    I would like to think that I'm important, but unfortunately not many people are. I retired almost a year ago - heard from my business associates and friends for a couple of months - that slowed down pretty quickly and now I hardly hear from anyone. It certainly let's you know how much the world needs you.

    I agree, go to Lake Powell in southern Utah if you ever get the chance, it is pretty much bass fishing in the Grand Canyon, place is pretty daunting in some of the canyons, views are epic and there is hardly anybody there from Nov thru March.
