    Boarder Lake Thefts

Seen a clip on news this morning about speedboats coming out of the mexican side of some of the boarder lakes pulling up on bass boats and taking their money by gunpoint. Anyone have any info on this? Is the U.S. plan on doing anything if so?

That happened a couple'a months back. Haven't heard of anything lately. For me I usually stay on our side a boarder lake anyway.

IMO, most of this is media crap. I would have no problem going to Amistad or Falcon and fishing the mexican side. I spent 6 days on the mexican border in Mexico this past Janurary. I had not problem at all, and didn't see any problems.

Here read this. Stay on the Texas Side and you won't have to worry about it. The news clip you are seeing are about 2 months old and only happen twice on the Mexico side.

I was there at the end of April and didn't have any problem then. I talked with a friend that has a lease down there and he said: He has never seen so many game wardens, sherriffs patrol, and coast guard on the lake ever. We caught lots of fish on the American side where we stayed.

just to let yall know the two boats that were supposingly robbed were pulled up on and checked for guns and drugs. they both gave the mexican money, but that was for him to watch them while they fished. But when they got back to the tx side it turned into a robbery.I don't know but does'nt sound like robbery to me!

They were robbed of several hundred dollars, and were threatened with automatic weapons.. sounds like robbery to me!
And yes,it was over 2 months ago, and no reports since. Right now, the lake is closed due to record flooding.
