    Places to stay at Falcon

Redwood lodge where I usually stay has closed down. Does anyone know of a clean reasonable place to stay.

Oso Blanco. Works out great if a Northern blows in. Plenty of fish in the Veleno to keep you busy.

I stayed at the Oso Blanco. For $5 more, you can stay at the Falcon Executive Inn. If I go back down there, I'll probably stay at the Falcon Executive Inn.

Just my two cents, butttttt I will never stay at the Beacon. Stayed there one night in 08, paid my money and went to the Sunbridge. It's a filthy dump. I would hate for someone to travel all that way to arrive to that place like I did.

    Absolutely DISGUSTING.....rant over.

Well Keegan thats good info. No one wants to end up staying at a place that isn't clean.

    Try this website http://www.tackleandrods.com/
On the left side of the page there is a link to list of Hotels and Motels. He also posts an entertaining fishing report.

Sunbridge does not have a launch ramp, however Oso Blanco does.

Is Oso the place people say to avoid? Sounds like thats the place to stay if it has its own launch. Sounds pretty nice to me Is it in town by the other hotels like holiday inn and what not? Thanks fellas.

Stayed at Osa Blanco in March, nothing fancy; however, the rooms were clean. There are two tackle stores close by and numerous restaurants as well.

I dont need fancy for sure.....my idea of fancy is a clean bathroom and clean sheets every now and again. Gotta be cool as hell to wake up and launch the boat beside the hotel. Did you use the launch?

I dont see an econolodge anywhere, but do see a bestwestern. It doesnt mention having a ramp though. Damn it, cant make up my mind where to stay. I know I am not going to the beacon . A week to go and no reservations yet....I dont think I could get away with that in March.

Yes sir, there was no problem with the ramp when we were there, you need to beware of a piece of t-post that sticks up a short distance out from the end of the ramp.
