I'm looking for a place to stay in that area. I've stayed at the Rayburn Country hotel before. I've heard about the Bass Buster Inn, but have never been there. The last I heard it was being re-modeled. Anyone know of any other places to stay close to the lake? I'd like to stay close to The Stump and Twin Dikes Marina area. Thanks.
Sam Rayburn Marna Resort (409) 698-2696. Less than a mile away from The Stump and has 24 hour security. Will be there Sat through Thursday.
Rates are very reasonable, especially right now. Rooms are okay. Bathroom and kitchen are really small. Biggest complaint about the place is the towel exchange. Have to bring to office (8am-5pm) to get new towels. Can not just leave outside door and let them swap out. Other than that, great place to stay. Can rent a boat slip too.
