MRI results, bad news - good news

Went to the doc today. Bad news - said there was nothing he could "fix" Good news - reckon I ain't having any back surgery.

He said all of my discs were degenerative, arthritic and said basically I would have to live with it. Will get me in for some physical therapy, a visit to the "needle" man for Facet (whatever that means) injections IF I want, and prescribed me Celebrex.
I asked him if I would be a cripple in a few years and he said no, I could do whatever my pain level would allow, no danger of my back snappin in two or going paralyzed. Sounds to me like I'm wearin out

Celebrex is a mighty fine drug. Hopfully it will ease some of the pain. Troy, go to Academey and buy a cheap inversion table. Will be the best 150.00 dollars you have spent in a while. While your at it pick a 1/2 gal. of JD Black. It always helped my back pain. Head may hurt a little the next day.

Oh well, there's folks with a helluva lot worse problems than mine. Just another hill to climb. I will deal with it one way or another.
Seriously men, I've NEVER been somebody that stays in Neutral very long, so changing the way I go about things is what's got me bummed out the most. I like to keep the vehicles, boat, motorcycle, mowers, and our property spic and span and well maintained and that's been a killer the last year.
I knew years ago I'd never make it to the end with a perfectly preserved body, I have been pretty hard on it over the years.

You have what I have had for 20 years, except my nerve canal is closing and pinching the nerves causing me to be somewhat gimp legged in my left leg. (it goes numb). Celebrex ......I take 30 -40mg. Loritab a day, Neurotin, Flexril and was taking Methadone, got off that crazy stuff. The faucet injectons are needles with medication they put in your disk. I have had the nerves burnt to kill some pain. It worked one time but second time it backfired and I can't stand in one spot long enough to brush my teeth without having terrible back and leg pain. Oh well: nuff of my story. I wish you luck in the days and years ahead.
    Blessings
    Gerald
