During normal circumstances I would say...

    1 Falcon
    2 Amistad
    3 Choke
    4 Fork

I agree with Jeff, however Alan Henry ought to get Honorable Mention for beating Fork two years in a row for most Share Lunkers ...

Derek, you're kinda hung on Thomas aren't you? Nobody wants their boat to be red after a day of fishing.

Who here has fished every lake in Texas? Not me. So I am not qualified to answer the question. I am not sure what lakes are the best, but I do we are blessed with more than a few excellent lakes.

    I agree Reggie.

    I just hate that place.

I either hit a home run there or strike out seems like.

But I've never been called a great fisherman either.

Right on Brian the TPWD does an awsome job with our fisheries.

    We are blessed.

Bryan, you just need to get out away from SETX and see the rest of the state. Take 7 hrs and drive up here and we'll go feeshin ...

Joking aside, you hit it right on the head ...

Re: what is the best large mouth lake in tx ? (skeeter21i)

Very impressive list......but only a couple of those were caught this century.

From 2000 until 2007 I would have to say the hottest lake was hands down Amistad.
Right now my nod would have to be Falcon.
