I could be wrong but as strict as the EPA is I highly doubt that Fort Hood is the cause. It is a good question though.
I have fished Belton numerous times and have never experienced that problem.

Ya I am sure because I cruise thru there before they get opened up. It really is always bad. Maybe it is just the areas GHARE takes me too.
You aren't fishing below the water treatment plant are you?

Les you are plegued on that lake and it is trying to make a point
When your rear partner says they need to stop for a shore break, take this as a hint. It may help alleviate the ring around the boat.

Which areas of the lake are you hitting, I have fished just about every area of the lake and have never experienced any problems.

Same here fish all the lake. Ask GHARE he will tell you the same thing
And it was a bear to get of at the car wash. Had to scrub with a wash cloth. I usually use my BBS but I am out right now and I tried that BTS product.
Does the ring only appear when you fish with Gary? Have you have experienced this problem on Stillhouse?

yea same here fished every bit of it for years, hell i live on it...and never a black ring. mabey up cowhouse, ill get a muddy brown ring, during certain times..but never what your talking about.. and never anything on still house.. been here since 85 and never a black ring...???
