Rub Rail Replacement..looking for Recomendations
Have a 2008 Stratos 201xl.....this boat gets fished a ton and the rub rail is a constant source of maintenance every few trips on big water. Im looking for recommendations of a dealer to replace it for me. We travel a ton so I'm willing to tow to the "right" place.
Thanks in advance.

Pier Supply sells all rub rail or insert replacements. It's a very easy DYI if you want. A 50' roll of insert was enough for my 20' Skeeter and even though the rail also had marks, the insert alone made it look like new.

I'm going too be in the market for this as well. I'll need both pieces.

I don’t think Stratos ever did figure out how to keep the screws from backing out. You’ll need to use some type of glue on them, not 5200 though. That will break them off if you do need to remove.

On my Stratos the screws holding the rub rail on goes into a piece of wood enclosed in the bottom hull. Wood is kind of, like, so old fashioned. It's quick and cheap and wears out. I found this out when I smashed my hull and tore 3 feet off the top cap. If you're interested in functionality, tighten the screws and add sealant under the rub rail to keep water from splashing inside the hull. It might not be pretty, but it will stop most leaks.
If you overtighten the screws the rub rail bends with ripples.
