Question Buying Boat with 1999 Mariner 200hp EFI. Have some questions.

Hey guys. I am looking at buying a 1999 Triton TR 20 with a 99 Mariner 200 EFI. The boat is a great price, and the Hull is in PRISTINE condition! I can't believe I have found one this well taken care of. Anywho, there are a few small issues that the owner is going to take it to a mechanic just for my piece of mind. My questions mainly have to do with what would YOU have him check.

Here is what I know about engine
1999 Mariner 200 EFI (Efi is on cowling)
Serial Number: I don't know, wish I would have thought to get it, but owner works out of town and I don't have access to get that right now.
Oil Injection was removed before current owner purchased (This don't hurt my feelings)
Compression was good: 110 on all 6 with no bleed down (I bet it would have been higher if some idiot, looks at self in mirror, would have remembered you are supposed to do WOT during test LOL) But the were all equal so I am happy there.
Has at least one newer switchbox, fuel pump was rebuilt, new fuel lines etc all done in late June
Plugs were replaced in June with the correct NGK plugs and it has only been ran once since then (This could be the issue with 2, old gas maybe)

    So here are the issues

    1. The tach is WAY off. Sits at like 2000 at idle and pegged at WOT.
The owner said it doesn't always act up, and that it reads right sometimes. I know you can move the dial on the back and forth through the selections returning to original setting and this may fix, but I am wondering if I should have him have mechanic check the stator, regulators, and rectifier for me while he is there.
    2. Let me preface this by saying the boat runs like a scalded ape, hole shot was awesome with 3 ppl averaging 200lbs and top end she screamed like an old Triton should (I couldn't drive it as fast as it would go)
ANYWHO, here is 2. It has a slight miss at idle, and sometimes when you put it in gear it will die if you aren't giving it a little throttle. Listed below are somethings it might be based off of the forums I have read.
    a. It could be stator with issue below on the 2000 rpm and below side, so this could be attached to number one.
    b. May be a bad plug.
    c. Could be that idle stabilizer module (Should I have removed and timing hard set?)
    d. Bad ignition switch bleeding voltage to choke
    f. Reeds (Not worried about this because the first thing I am doing is putting CCM reeds and stuffers in it as I don't trust the factory reeds.

Any ideas for the mechanic to check are welcome!
