    Lodging @ Amistad

I am heading down to Amistad the end of May and am looking for a recommendation for a place to stay. I am really looking for a place that can sleep 3-4 and has a kitchen so that we can cut down on meal expenses. It doesn't have to be on the water but it must be clean and fisherman friendly. If such a place exists any info would be helpfull. Thanks.

If that no worky, try ruthy's rentals, she rents trailers out and its not that far from the rough canyon ramp

hope your not to late as that is prime time...

after Velvick prononced this as the best bass lake in the world for months on ESPN. Most of the good spots like you are asking about are booked up a year in advance. Try Anglers INN --Anglers lodge. Lakeview Inn has 1 suite with 3 bedrooms. Go to Del Rio chamber of commerce--they love fishermen and have a lot of booking info.

the only 2 places that i have been able to pull up is Velvick's place and Ruthies. I keep hearing people talk about anglers inn but i havn't found any contact info. i think i will try the Chamber of Commerce and have them send me info.

Anglers Lodge is on Hwy 90, right on the lake. Their phone number is 830-775-1586. Dianne and Carl are great people. They have a great grill in the store and can cook some awesome breakfast burritos and hamburgers! I have actually been staying in that motel for over 30 years. The boat parking spots have electrical plugs at each parking spot so you can charge your batteries with no problem. You will need about a 10' extension cord to reach the plug. Dianne and Carl have painted up the place, new carpet and it all looks great!
