"E-Tec Upgrades" for 175 Ficht

Chatting with my mechanic; he came away from a January 2010 Amtech training seminar under the impression that the "E-Tec upgrades" (QC10WEP plugs,
E-tech themostats, and poppet seal fix) applied to ALL V-6 Ficht/DI motors. Based on 2008 plug chart above and some earlier dialogue here, I thought that upgrade was factory approved for only the large block, 200 HP and up motors. I'm still running the XC12PEPB plugs and factory thermostats; these plugs do get very dirty but I don't get much chance to run at WOT because of manatee zones and idle only areas in my locale.

Any updated information I'm missing?
