    98 Johnson Faststrike

    I"ve heard these are good, reliable, strong motors, True???? Is mid 90"s good compression on a 98 johnson faststrike. Lookin at one, and the Numbers were 95 on the top 4, 92 on the bottom 2. Thanks in advance.

    Mine has been sweet and reliable. Your compression numbers reflect characteristics of a balanced motor, however, they may be a tad lower than ideal.

    Remember compression testers vary in readings. This should be OK a good decarb with BRP engine tuner sounds like it will bring up the numbers.
