It's a mudhole. At best, the water clarity is about 6". You can catch fish there if you have a lot of patience. I caught some white bass by the dam last time I fished there. The lake has plenty of shad. I read an article on the lake in Bassmaster several years ago. Some guy was catching some nice bass around the oil derricks on jigs.
If you're gonna drive that far, you'd probably be better off going to Lake Kemp. It's a power plant lake a little further west. I didn't fish there, but the water looked alot better.
Arrowhead has really turned on in the last year or two........ I used to live in the falls and it was mediocre to say the least..... 20# sacks have not been uncommon there this year..... hopefully someone from the area will chime in and give you some more relevant information.
We fished a tourney there a couple months back and the fish were in the flooded willows. Lots of action on that day !
Kemp is out around Seymour Texas, and is clear, but is not a power plant lake, and bass are few and far between there as I grew up 20 miles from the lake.

i fish lake arrowhead every weekend sorry it aint a mudhole we had 12 1/2 took ou tof there last dec my wife got a 8 1/4 in july we got about 10 nice fish thi spast sat the lake is at 96% clear to about 18 inches we used carliona rig and mepps #3 chrome with white skirt and blue and chrome red eye shad if you wan tto know some good spot feel free to call 940631-4713
It must have really cleared up. Last time I was there, I could only see about 3-4". I still wouldn't call 18" of visibility clear. That's about how I like it, but it ain't clear. The fishing should be good then. That lake has some interesting cover.
we have had good luck so far the water is about 68 now it was a mud hole till the lake level came up
