HELP!!! ME PLEASE.....FICHT MISSING!!!

Hey guys.......i have a 225 3.3L evinrude (e225FHLSIF) and its a late 2000 (11/2000)....any was at around 4500-4900 RPM it starts missing....i put new plugs in qc12pep and checked gaps and indexed them the boat is good out of the hole and idles in neutral fine....some times in gear it acts up but not always....but it doesnt miss all the time it just does it a few times and ill run about a minute or so then it starts....on my way back it seemed to get a lil worse......i dunno what to do or what it could be.....any help would be very very appreciated......thanks for your input....

Yours is a 2001 motor. There was no service manual for it, just an update service booklet so use a 2000 FICHT manual.

Start out with new plugs, indexed properly (see ONE STOP SHOPPING), clean out the exhaust pressure sensor tube or replace it. Hook up an EFI fuel pressure gauge and monitor at the missing rpm.

You will also need a tech with the diagnostic software to run with you to check system voltages, specs, and any anomalies while running at the missing rpm.

drivers side back ,remove lower cowel to get at it,has a rubber hose going up.
