150 Mercury XR6, serial # 1B070546
The black hose broke at the remote oil tank connection. I repaired the connection. Does the system need to be purged or is it good to go? It was not under way when it broke. It has been sitting for months due to a complete refurbishing of the boat.

2004 Tracker Avalanche with 150 Mercury XR6
Turns out it was the black/blue oil hose that broke. I opened the engine mounted oil cap and pushed 5ish psi of air into the air side of the remote tank. When the engine tank started to over flow I tightened it and reconnected the air hose to the remote tank. Started the engine on muffs and seems good to go.
