I had a good time on Lake Mcqueeney this past weekend.Them spots are mean.
I caught one about 4" on a 6" worm with a 4/0 hook! Now that's one bad bass!

Yeah, I'd go for that ... we ain't got none of them up here!!It don't have that real pronounced dip just behind the dorsal fin like the SM, Spot and LM.
You guy's need glasses. If Uti said it was a spot then it is a spotNise bass Uti.
I have fished McQueeney numerous times and have never seen a SMB on it, I have caught a number of spots though.

Thanks Skip.It may not be the best picture, but it was a Guadulpe Spot. I caught a bunch of them. That one didn't have as distinct of spots as the other ones I caught. You can see the horizontal lines on the belly though.

Y'all want some Spots, you need to come up to Alan Henry. I've not caught a keeper there yet, but several over 17". They fight as hard or harder than a smallie and will really put a bend in your rod!![]()

Years ago at PK, I had one blow up on a popper and knocked it about 3' in the air and then took it as soon as it hit the water.
Reggie I caught a 21 inch spot at PK one time thought I had a gorilla on the end of the line
Uti it looks some the river spots I have caught also depends on the water clarity how distinct the markings are
Uti, to solve this problem, next time take a picture of the fish's tongue. If it has the rough patch, you'll know it's a spot. Caught several of those at Buchanan earlier this year, and they are lots of fun.
We call them Spotalupes on Travis because sometimes it's hard to tell. Some say they are hybrids of spots and Guadalupes. So we just call em Spotalupes.![]()
