    USA Sprint trailer help

Hello all! I hope I am posting in the right section, I am out of my element here. I bought a 2001 Sprint Max deck boat last year and love it. The problem is the trailer is not original nor is it the right fit. The bow stop is higher than the bow when I’m loading at four different ramps. One ramp I use works perfectly and I have no hassle but the others are a real pain and I never feel good about it afterwards. Can someone point me in the right direction as to what type of trailer my boat is supposed to have? Thanks in advance.

There may be a sprint subfforum further down. You could also post in the general bassboat subforum. More detailed info on the issue is needed. Could be the right trailer but the front bow stop needs adjusted.

When you power load, you must trim your motor waaaay up. This raises the bow above the roller as the front of the boat gets to the roller. Your trailer might be correct.

If the bow stop is higher than the bow at certain ramps, don’t back in as far and tilt the motor up higher, this will raise the bow when power loading. If you crank it on the trailer, and see that the nose might go under the stop, pull up a foot or two and continue cranking. If you have the finances, a new trailer would be better. You might be able to buy a new bow stop and replace the old one as well.

My Uncle had the same problem with his deep V Tracker... he ended up cutting about 4 inches off the trailers bow post, then remounting the bumper and now it works perfectly. Before he made the adjustment, the forward part of the boat would barely touch the bunks, now it rests comfortably on all bunks as well. While my Uncle does welding etc all the time, this was an easy project for him, the rest of us would likely have to find someone to do the work.

Thanks guys! I will try some of these out as I have tried a few already. I’ll report back with the solution.

As others have said trailer is in too far. This is the mistake that almost everyone makes when they are inexperienced and is the root cause of most issues at the ramp.

agree with other posters, angle of attack is the culprit, and BTW, you can/could put a different bow stop and roller if needed, but from you own indication, the one ramp where the boat loads correctly tells me it is not a boat/trailer issue...and BTW welcome to BBC

you said it worked great on one ramp, notice how far in the trailer is in on that ramp and then try to match it at others.
