I'm looking at buying a 2000 Javelin Renegade with a Johnson 225 HO or a 1999 Stratos 21SS with a 225 Ficht. Any opinions/pros cons on the motors. Also if you want to through your opinions out there on the two boats feel free to do so.

I would take a test ride and decide. If it were me I would go with the Johnson HO because I took a ride with one hanging on a gambler and that thing would scream. Plus it's a motor that has been around for years.

I think the Javelin with the Johnson 225HO would be the best choice, the parts for that motor are much less expensive if you need repairs.
