I ended up goiing to the creek when the wind picked up. Weighed 3 for 11.07# & got 4th. Lost one at the boat that would have probably gone 3.5-4 and lost another right after I turned it toward the boat. Didn't get a good look at that one, but it felt pretty good. All my bites were above the RR bridge.

Alan Crowe won it with 18#, 2nd was David Chance @ 11.47 & 3rd was Danny Black @ about 11.25#. Danny also had big fish af about 7.5#

Sounds like some nice fish were caught!!

Congrats on 4th... above a 3.5 pound average... I'll take that anyday!

Amazing how those bass have the ability to lose that hook when they see the boat...

Sounds like y'all had a great time.....

Hit Fayette Reservoir yesterday, and was the winding a howling. Knew it was going to be a rough day when you pull up to the pay booth and looking out on the water and it looks like the ocean. There were several times we were airborne and talk about rough landings. The fishing started off rough and ended up being one of those days that would have you sitting good in a tournament. My friend Liz boated one that went almost 7lbs and I ended up with one going just over 5lbs. We boated at least 25, with almost all going at least 2 to 3 lbs. . The smallest caught was only 10 inches, but it was a football. One thing for sure when you got a bite you knew it, the fish were extremely aggressive. Due to the lake being about 3 feet low, I would suggest everyone put in at the Park Prairie Ramp as the incline is not as steep. The only saving grace with the wind is that it kept the numerous jet skis and ski boats beached.

Mornin' guys! I'm on Spring Break this week, so I'll probably be sleeping in most mornings. I do plan on getting up early one day to go fishing though. I can't stay on the lake all day though. I still have to work this week. Until then, I'm gonna kick back and enjoy this ice cold DP.

    Yall have a good one!

Eric, yeah that kind of weight surehelps a guy's confidence after not being on water since November! Sure wish I had gotten those other two boated, that would have been my best bag ever!! We have our Spring open on Hubbard Creek next month. Ought to be some good ones caugtthere too. Talking to rangerguy, he says the city will start drawing out of Hubbard again pretty soon. Need to start getting some rain!!

    Bill, what is a winding???
