Anyone been to Cedar Creek lately?

I have a BFL tournament there April 8th. I've never been there, so I don't know what to expect. I won't get to pre-fish, so any info about the cover & structure of the lake will help. I'll be the co-angler, so I won't get to pick to spots I fish. I don't want to take my whole arsenal of tackle and rods, but I may have to.

    Any info would be appreciated.

Right now CC is very low. I would guess crankbaits Texas Rigs, Carolina Rigs would be great choices.

    Thanks Bob.

Since Cedar Creek is a little further north, would the fish spawn any later? They are spawning right now, down here. Also, what does the shoreline look like on that lake? Trees, grass, docks, rocks?

It is known to be a boat dock lake.............However, most are dry '

There is very little grass and most structure is man made. There are many bridges and the dam that hold rocks and also hold good fish
As for the spawn, it should be getting close to Full Blown! I do know lakes like Ray Roberts and Lewisville tend to have later spawning periods than lakes 100 miles East or South of there

So, all the fish should be in a small area. Should make it easier to pick them off.

I have a tourney there this weekend and will be able to tell you more after then. The lake is low. 4 ft 7 in. low. The bank all the way around the lake is sand. There are alot of dry boat docks and alot of shallow boat docks. The water temp is in thd upper 50's to low 60's depending on where you are at. By the time you get here the spawn should still be going on. I was on there Sat. while the Media tourney was going and didn't see any beds yet. The bucks are starting the push shallow. I will let you know where when I find out.

Thanks Daniel. I wasn't sure if they had started spawning or not. I'm hoping they will be just starting by the time I get up there. The fish will probably be done down here in a few weeks.

I'd appreciate any other info you can give me.
