It was windy that weekend, right??? If so, Big Sam aint you're friend in da wind![]()
Yep, me & ChampioNman came out of Harvey Creek the day before the start of the 2003 TOC and headed for the Cassell's launch area across the lake and north of the 147 bridge in about a 30 mph north wind.We started out with the livewells empty and drain valve closed. After the crosswind trip, we were soaked to the bone, livewells were full and the bilge pump was shooting a full pipe. After I let Fred out, I started to back away from the bank and too a wave over the back that hit me about the shoulders.
After getting the boat on the trailer, I pulled the drain plug and left the bilge running. Took a good 20 minutes to get rid of all the water.

Yep that be Big Sam on a windy day. Martha just didn't want to fight it on day 2 after we came in early on day one.![]()
I don't blame her...man bad weather makes it miserable to fish and enjoy yourself...wish you'all had a better time..
