    94 200 Venom Overheat alarm

Hi, I've got a constant beep. That's the overheat alarm but the engine has been off for a couple of hours. Turn key on, beep sounds. Disconnected each of the sensors, no change, disconnected the black/white, no change. Disconnected the single tan wire on the port side, looks like it goes to the vacuum switch (?), alarm goes away.

Can ya help me out ?

    thanks
    Chuck

At first glance sounds like the vacuum switch is bad.

Thanks. didn't make the parts store, hottest day of the year so far got sidetracked .

Can I run without the vac switch connected ? I know there's a risk, probably disables all the alarms.

If you run the motor with out the fuel system vacuum switch and the fuel line gets pinched or there is any other fuel system restriction, you just Cooked a Power Head, not worth the chance to me.
