So the steel trucks basically had equal collision losses and better comprehensive to their aluminum counterparts? Not sure where the benefit of insurance rates comes in when it didn’t improve anything over previous steel models.

Here’s my take on the aluminum, I was a t Rayburn two weeks ago and my 2019 deisel was in a golf ball size and maybe a little bigger and I have a total of 1100$ damage. DeanC was down there and knows the storm I’m talking about. I was pleasantly suprised with how it held up.

Wondering how many vehicles received damage from that storm? My steel roof did good on my home.

I did see a new 150 with a hole punched all the way thru the tail gate. No indention around it either. Thought that was weird

Just picked up my new F150 platinum Saturday, insurance was the same as my wife’s 2017 Ford Edge. The agent told me due to the high safety ratings of these trucks it offsets the slightly higher repair. For what it’s worth, liked my 2016 Lariat F150.... LOVE this new one, can’t wait to put the Ranger behind it

Interesting, my insurance co is hammering the crud out of me on my 2018 f150. My “most stolen” F350 and wife’s Mercedes are both a lot cheaper than my 1/2 ton.

I won't do it, my newer ram will be the last truck I buy if thats the case. I owned a body shop and dealt with these when they first came out. No thanks.
Has anyone seen the new jeep JL? I could surf on the doors with all the waves. I know a lot of people don't notice this stuff but it drives me nuts!

I used to have these Ford Chevy Dodge debates in High School. Now, I don't pay attention to what other people spend their money on.

I own one of the F150’s being discussed and love it no regrets whatsoever however if anyone out there feels that I own a subpar truck and generously offers to buy me another I’m open

Went fly fishing last year with my buddy in his new Subaru. He brought his magnetic rod holders to mount the rods to the car so we didn’t have to break them down each time we moved. Guess what. It would not stick to the aluminum hood or roof
