I have not been out there much...but what I can say is this: I missed the fish of my life flippin a red plum culprit 7.5" worm around docks...most guys Ive heard chunk alot of crankbaits also.
A jig on Wateree will always put fish in the boat.
I would tie on a big old spinner bait and work the backs of any creek I found shad in. I tend to stay in the upper creeks and the river myself. If they are pulling water I would be in the river.

OK Guys I have two days left before tourny. Any more info with more current conditions out there, Thanks for the help.
Update :: fished Wateree 11-21-2009, Water still muddy, warmest water temp I seen was 61 deg. Flipped Jigs to Grass bed, docks, and cover. Throwed White spinnerbait until my arms fell off. #5 Shad rap crank bait, team Daiwa crankbait. I had NO bites All day. I could not have caught them with dynamite! Thanks for the help, maybe we do better next time.![]()
You will......just remember, next month you have to catch all YOUR fish between 16" and 20" long.

USS Comanche did not see you at Harris last tourny. Everything ok with you? You fishing Jan. tourny there? And just so you will know, there was no need for the braid and big baits last month. Not for me anyways. Enjoyed talking with you also.
