    Need Help on Santee PLEASE!!!!!!!!

I'm frustrated. Every time I go to santee I get skunked. Anyone got suggestion on what I should do. Did not get a single bite all day. Threw Senko's, Spinner's, worms, jigs, and rattle traps. Put in at Wyboo and went to Tater, John C. and a few other places with no luck. Fished all the piers, and some cypress tree's. Didn't fish below 6-8 ft. Is that the problem? Help please!!!!

Been to "stump hole" Get skunked in there and you might as well hang it up. Should be off the beds by now...

Thanks, I'm going back tomorrow. I'll give it a shot. I see your AD AF. I recently separated out of Spangdahlem AB, Germany. Are you stationed at Shaw?

Not a big fan of the side of the lake you are fishing,, so I wont be much help there-

The trees should still be the place to find them,, though it will be winding up quick. Then Santee becomes a dead sea for most of the fishing world until fall.

Tree Fishing has a lot more "art form" to it than most think. Steath and presentation are key. Tree fish are much like spawning fish-- once they know you are there, they become much harded to catch. Keep your distance an make casts that put the bait right under the tree. Practice an underhanded skip and roll cast. IF you are not getting the bait in the 6" perimieter of the trunk you need to practice doing it. If I dont get it where I want it I imediately reel in fast and make another cast. I dont want the fish getting a good look at it without it being where I want it.

    Thanks Brett,

I'm going to Jacks Creek 2morrow to try some Senkos and some Trick worms and see how that works. I haven't had much practice there so I figured I would give it another chance.

Thanks for the advice. What part of the lake are you more familiar with? I haven't down to Rocks pond lately, that might be a good idea. We'll see.
