Chickamauga is feast or famine right now. The lake is trying to turn over and TVA is gradually dropping the water. This weekend it was down about 3-4 feet below full pool.
Saturday, our best 5 was close to 17 lbs. Sunday it was more like 15 lbs. There is friggin bait schooled up from one end of the lake to the other but unless you are there when the fish "decide" to feed then it's TOUGH to get a bite. Both days our better fish came from 12-20 ft. Our best producer was a 1/2 ounce football head jig in texas craw color paired with a watermelon candy zoom speed craw, when the bite slowed down we switched to real pork trailers. We were fishing grass edges close to deep water/drops and rip raff.
