    Upper head bearing replacement

    200hp XP Looper
This is the big upper roller bearing on the crankshaft.
I read a note about heating up the head, letting the old bearing fall out, then dropping in the new one. Does this work? Do you use a oven, torch, or heat gun? How hot does it need to be? Has anyone tried this?
    Thanks,
    Rustyhook

To replace the upper bearing the crank case needs to be separated then the assembly can be removed.

I have it separated and on the bench. I just need a little help in how to get the bearing out to replace it.
    Thanks,

It cannot be separated it is a complete assembly. The lower bearing can be replaced. Assembly number is 5000574

turn on the oven , let it get hot, set it on a coffee can and set it in you will hear it fall out , ive done two and one fell out and one i had to pull on but it wasnt bad just hard to handle while its hot
preheat the oven but dont set the bearing in till its hot
