Going back for a long weekend next week, Thurs - Sun, and wondered if the frog bite is on. Additionally, are any tx going out of Smallwood Fri (5/21) and/or Sat (5/22)? I'm guessing there will be, wondered about size. Any suggestions as to what is working at this point would be appreciated. Anyone else be down there? I'll be at the Super 8 in Indian Head, stop by and say HI!

Well Carlos I'd bet it's colder over in the UK than it is on the Potomac That North Atlantic is cool water for sure
Not sure about the frog bite but I caught decent numbers last weekend throwing a chatterbait. Clearer water seemed to be better but we caught them pretty much everywhere there was grass (surprise, surprise) 3-6 feet was the magic depth.
Fishing the MBF SQT this weekend, may have more info after.

A couple of small club tx's going out but no major tournaments are scheduled that
weekend. Info obtained from smallwood 4 weeks ago.
Bruce there will be some TX's if not out of Smallwood out of Leesylvania, or Pohick. We have a Region 1 TX out of Leesylvania on the 23th. I will be out there this Saturday and let you what's going on. But it might be farther of a run then you like. I'm sure my boat will stick it's nose into the Nanj, before the day is up.

i have been having pretty good success with spro's popping frogs, all white, and sometimes the lepoard color one, and fishing edges with black buzzbaits.
Good luck BBman! I have been catching them on a 6" Zoom watermelon lizzard on Deep Creek if that helps!

And just where have you been? I didn't make it down there, and no GOOD LUCK for me. My trip got derailed before it got started. I didn't even get a sip of my morning coffee - it ended up all over the inside of my truck.
