Down imaging on the trolling motor?

How often do you use it?

That’s all I use. A lot more clarity and I can see which species I’m graphing. I never use 2d sonar. But it’s all in personal preference.

I split my screen with both sonar and DI once in a while but usually it's just DI

Yep, if the depth finder is on it's on DI... Except when I fish the river, backwaters are too shallow... Dan

I'm going against the grain here but I hardly ever use down imaging on the trolling motor. If I am fishing a shoreline it is on 2D. If I am fishing offshore it usually stays on the gps/2D split. I do use it occasionally but if I could go back I would probably go for a bigger screen and no down imaging.

Split screen 40% map and 60% DI. I do this 100% of the time.

I have a Lowrance HDI 5 for DI and a HDS8 for 2d sonar on trolling motor. I use both simultaneously.

I typically split DI/2D. Though if I’m mapping I split my map with 2D
