We need a date for the 2011 Erie rally (or mini)

We need to get the ball rolling for the 2011 Erie mini Rally. It needs to be in the first week of May or the 3 or 4th week of june for me or even July. I go away for 12 days the last weeks of May and cannot come home and ask for more time off the following week

May 5-8
June 9-12 or 16-19 or 23-25
July ???????

An Offical Rally or just a get together.

If it's going to be offical then I say Juneish!!! We go to canade the last week of July so that's out the the weekend before that is Gina's birthday.

as far as a spring get together I'm thining more along the line of late May. The past few years going early has produce nothing. I'm thinking Memorial day weekend.. that's when I'll be there.

We were there two years ago on memorial day weekend. Busy...yes. Fishing....AWESOME! This year I thought we were going to hit it just right and it didn't happen. I think the early get together should be based off of fish being int he bay......a no bullshit the fish are stacked on the flats report.

To experience that is amazing and t get some more new people to attend they need to have that happen and then they will be like...HOLY CRAP.....This place is amazing! WHAM! a new rally member for life!!!

We DO need to get a summer date in the books as people like to plan ahead and we can be a little more organized this year if an offical rally does happen.

Joe I agree, but how do we plan ahead ?? What if we plan memorial day weekend, and the fish are not in the bay yet or have already left ??? Mother nature like to play games with us - you should know that with all the wind she blows around when you show up

Will everybody be able to make it if we set two weekend dates aside and play the wait and see game. I figure Hugh can let us know when the conditions you speak are accurate. Why don't we put Memorial day weekend right smack in the middle, and see what the conditions are like the weekend before and the weekend after.

Or we can just pick and weekend and go with it. I just think a holiday weekend might not get as many people there. And I personally think the more we can get the better !

I'm pretty sure I might have trouble getting there memorial day weekend; I'm sure Craig will have a hard time getting there that weekend as well with him running a beer distributor (it's one of his busiest weekends of the year). And I work for him - so there is no way both of us will be there that weekend.

Maybe the weekend before or the weekend after ???? What would everyone think about either of those two ??

Lets do a "mini" in Late May/early June. Lets try for a "full blown rally" in late June - maybe the last weekend. This way if you can't get to the mini, the "official rally" is only right around the corner.

OK lets get the offical rally in the books. WE'll make it an offical Rally, No tournament, sponsors if they would like to participate.

As far as the May rally lets play it by ear. How much lead time does everyone need to call off work? This way it will giv us a better idea as to how close we can call it.

the second week of may is my max week 3 and 4 I will be in Charlotte. Shoot for the second week of June it gives them more time to move in if winter is bad like last year.
