The OBFN will be holding 6 single day qualifying tournament over a 3 weekend period the dates are March 14-15 Sardis (Potato Hill)March 28 - 29 Grand (Martin’s Landing Ramp) April 25-26 Eufaula (Eufaula cove) These tournaments are for points only and the top 12 plus #13(alternate) will become the State Team and compete in the Central Divisionals @ Greers Ferry Lake in Arkansas June 22-27 for more information and to search for a local bass club in your area Please go to our website

6 tournaments over 3 weekends without payback??? I'm a BASS federation member too. I would like to fish the Qualifiers, but with the current setup it not realistic. IMO participation will not increase without a structural change.

The pay back is making the state team going to divisionals where the team will compete against 8 other teams for payout and the highest finisher on the state team goes to nationals where you have to beat 7 other central anglers to go to the classic I dont know of a cheaper way to get to the classic

The qualifier entry fees are used to pay expenses for the state team to go to divisionals

Approx: 60 members fishing for state team beat 1 out of 5 make the state team
next:12 state team members go to divisionals, finish 1st in state go to nationals,last years team finished 1st got paid approx 1500.00 per person.
next:8 central division anglers in nationals beat the other 7, your in the classic (just ask Royce Dennington )
