    Good boat shop in OKC???

Hey, I have a 150 Evinrude that's gonna need some work, at least carbs and tune-up. Can any of you recommend a good shop? I know about Tim's, but I went in there once, awhile back when I had a different motor, and he may be an excellent mechanic, but the looks of his shop made me decide to look elsewhere. I'm just looking for a good honest mechanic that will stand behind his work, I'm not looking for a cheap shadetree. I'd consider anything within 100 miles. Thanks in advance, this is a great board.

If I got the wrong impression at Tim's, let me know.

Nichols is a good reputable place. Don't recall what type of motors they work on. Also Pier one in Duncan. Lance at Pier 1 is a standup guy.

Call Lynn at Nichols 360-4111, they mainly work Mercury and Yamaha. Premier Power Sports 741-0707 (I-240 between Air Depot and Sooner) is the only rude dealer I know of.

Try Cody Gaskill at Holeshot Marine, 724 S.E. 44th OKC. 405/672-5700. He's right next door to Boat City Prop Shop. He installed my Hotfoot and Pro Trim and did an excellent job. A friend of mine uses him to work on his Skeeter. He used to mechanic at Boat House(?)... the old Tracker/Nitro dealer on I-35. I think he can work on just about anything.
    Don't worry Ma'am....

S & D Boats in Shawnee. They are a new dealership and have a couple of good wrenches working there. One of them graduated from MMI in Florida. Not much they can't work on.
