Fred don't know if you remember him but he was with us at the TOC on Rayburn. He still has his Champion but bought a new Stratos w/225 Etec in 07'. Came from factory w/8" Detwiler JP. From day one if you trim-up over 50% or raise JP more than 1 1/2" from lowest setting Temp alarm goes off. All the way trimmed down and JP at lowest setting anything over 4000 rpms Temp alarm. After more than 6 trips to dealer problem still there, less than 20 hrs operating time. Dealer finally takes Dremil tool and hogs-out water inlet, problem solved and that was 8 months ago. L/U just self destructed. Dealer installs new 09' L/U last week, right back to original problem. BUT can't hog-out this time cause water inlet is plastic plug with 4 tiny holes. Can't trim, can't jack, can't exceed 4000 rpms. Is tired of dragging it 5 hours one way for nothing. Any ideas or have you seen anybody else with a late model Etec that has same gremlins ? Thanks TBJ
