On my 2006 201 PRO XL I have noticed that there is a NMEA 2000 fuel flow rate sensor in the fuel line in the battery/oil compartment.

There is a splitter on the net cable with one open connection. I thought I might connect my GPS antenna through the engine cable boot, and mount it via silicone right beside the oil cap.

I am replacing the X135 with the 332C in the console.

1) Has anyone tried that location for the antenna?

2) What is a fuel flow sensor doing there, and has anyone taken advantage of it?
