Ideal prop size/Jackplate height for 2015 Couger FTD
I was lucky enough to get set up with a new couger ftd that I have had since the end of summer and I gotta say if given the opportunity I'll never run anything besides a BCB. I've got a 250 Merc on a manual jackplate with a single power pole for right now I like to keep quite a bit of gear in it on tournament day and usually run it with a fishing partner so I want it to be set up for that weight load. The jackplate is even across the top which I think is about the lowest setting(haven't moved it from coming out of the factory) got a 25 fury on it now, it's pretty bad about blowing out but on a calm morning itl run 78-79 at about 75% trim turning 5800-5900 rpm.
-I'm planning on going to bull shoals tomorrow to play with some props(most likely all fury) and I'll have my jackplate wrenches but I figure yall can save me a lot of troubleshooting. I've heard the Mercurys like the rmp so I was wondering if I need to be up around that 6100 range and would I be able to turn that if I bumped up to a 26 fury?
-Anyways I'd sure appreciate the advice cause the quicker I get this figured out the more time I'm gonna have to chase some big blacks up in those bushes, Best regards Keeton Villines
