This motor sometimes wont plane out occasionally. It will hit about2900 rpm and sit there until it gains enough speed to get over about3200 then it takes off great from there. No missing or anything. Other times, it goes straight to3500 and takes right off. The tuner holes were all plugged up so i took everything apart and cleaned and drilled all that out. It runs a lot better across the board now, but still does the slow take off at random. Runs and starts great otherwise. Powerhead is new along with injectors flowed and cleaned,etc. also noticed sometimes when idling,if you raise throtle slowly up to about2500,then slowly increase from there,it will slow down and seem to lose power at a certain throttle position like its loading up or something. Then you have to give it more to get past the dead spot. Ive went through the tps but its perfectly smooth reading from idle to wot. Its a 99 engine. Only thing left i can come up with is map sensor?
