I traded a 2012 skeeter bay boat for a 2012 FX21 250 SHO the guy had jacked around with the motor and had it upon the 8th dot which made the boat impossible to handle for the most part. I raised it to the 5th dot which gave me a great hole shot but all I can get out of it is about 53-5400 rpm's and I fill it should be alot faster.

I have measured with a level boat from the pad to the ground is 18" and from the prop shaft center to the ground is 15.5" I had mechanic tell me to put it on the 7th hole but he is not a skeeter guy. That is where it is now and that is where those measurements came from but I have nit run it yet. It has a slidemaster 12" jackplate on it, factory yamaha 25p prop. The spec sheet says it should run 6000rpm's and in the upper sixties to mid seventies.

Can someone help me get my boat reset?
