Oh yes, it is!!!!!
I bought 5, yes I said 5, BPS Pro Qualifer Spinning Reels. First one out of the box, had a rough spot when retrieving it. Noo biggie!!! I picked up another rod and started fishing. While casting and retrieving, no problem................... oops wait a minute, Redfish on!!!! When I tried to reel the Red in, it sounded like a old washing machine. My buddy said, "What is that noise!" Needless to say, I returned all of them. I can't deal with 40% failure rate. I bought a few Daiwas, like I've been using, and don't expect any further trouble.
All that being said, the return process was anything easy. I went to the store, and the Daiwas I wanted.....well they only had the display model. I was going to switch to a similiar Shimano............. you guessed it, only a display model. So........I asked them to order them for me, and they told me it would faster if I did it online. So................I drove home, ordered it online, for store delivery, about $13 cheaper. The 5-7 days required goes by and...........you guessed it, no reels. I called customer and they immediately, Next Day, Fedexed me the reels.
As far the whole experience, except for the great lady in Customer Service , I think it was a pretty sorry event.
