WOW... who ordered the wind and cold?!? Fished in a cold hurricane on saturday. We nearly froze to death in the morning on Twelve Mile. North wind made it tough for us as we don't really know much of that lake. The only spots I've fished were under white caps. Did manage to catch a bunch but they were all dinks. Pulled off at 11:30 and went back to the hotel to warm up and wait for the wind to die down. Headed out to Three Mile that afternoon. Bit was much tougher there for us. Did manage one about 4 lbs on a lizzard and acouple of dinks. Headed back to Twelve Mile sunday morning. Same story. About a million gazillion dinks. Had maybe three that would've kept. Jerkbaits, spinnerbait, crankbait, and Sammy all worked. Water temps were surprisingly cold at about 58 degrees. And the water was surprisingly clear considering all the rain they had last week. No idea what the fish are doing. I don't know what the water temps were before the cold spell so I don't know what stage of the spawn those fish are in. In hindsight, I really wish I would've fished Three Mile on sunday. The best day I've had on there was with good cloud cover. Cloudy all day today and I was on Twelve Mile. Oh well,
So.... A big 'ol thank you to mother nature once again I need to get some good fishing in. This is starting to depress me.
