WTH is wrong with BPS? They never seem to want to carry the same thing everyone else does anymore.

OK.....got my 2008 catalog. Start thumbing through it and found a Daiwa reel I was not aware f.......they called it the TD-Pro.......the frame and everything looks EXACTLY like a Daiwa Exceler.....now there not carryign the Exceler.....why?.......becasue its a Sub $100 reel that will compete too much with there own BPS line up.....just like the Advantage did for that matter ........so instead of just not carrying it.....looks as if BPS had to go out of there way top make Daiwa have there own "Version" of a reel so they can sell it for $119.99 so they can "Puch" there own line anymore

Salesman" Well if you like the TD-Pro but dotn want to spend $120 for it we have these BPS reels right here top fit your budget"

NOw dont get me wrong here either......there is still some stuff at BPS that is GREAT! Like there Johnnny morris stuff and there Rick Clunn addition stuff........but does anyone else think this is a Classic ploy to get Customers who are not very familiar with fishing Equipement to buy something that will make more Gross Profit on there part than worrying about Customer Loyalties?

BTW....I Used to Own/Use BPS stuff all the time when it was actually being made by Lews/Browning company.....but since BPS bough them out it seem that "Quantity" has overgone Quality on some of there lower end line up
